Our 2015 vintages have been awarded 3 new medals. Riesling awarded a Silver Medal, Chardonnay a Bronze Medal and Rose a Bronze Medal. Our 2010 Hill Hill Reserve Shiraz awarded a Bronze Medal to go with its previously awarded Silever and Bronze.

2014 has seen our wines awarded 1 silver and 5 bronze medals. Pinot Gris received the Silver award while our 2008 Tawny, 2014 Sauvignon Blanc, 2014 Savagnin, 2010 Shiraz and the 2011 Hill Reserve Shiraz were all awarded Bronze medals.

The 2014 vintage white wines have been bottled and labelled. This year sees the first release of our 2014 Pinot Gris along with our popular Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Savagnin. Already the Sauvignon Blanc has been awarded a bronze medal at the Boutique Wine Awards in Sydney.The 2011 and 2012 Hill Reserve Shiraz are now botlled and will soon be ready for sale.

Sean McGowan of The Islander, was named Best Photographer for the second time at 2012 SA Media Awards.Sean has taken many photos for Bay of Shoals Wines, including our bottle images, staff images, Cordes house and cellar door images. We congratulate him on achievement and wish him every success in the future.
Bay of Shoals wines recently attended the Adelaide Cellar Door Festival held at Adelaide Convention Centre from 24th to 26th February 2012.We were joined by four other Kangaroo Island wine producers as well as our local Farmers market and Community market under the Kangaroo Island region. We enjoyed the opportunity to meet a wide range of customers that we would not normally meet on Kangaroo Island.We hope you all come to visit us very soon!
Kangaroo Island comes alive in February each year for the Coopers Kangaroo Island Cup. Kangaroo Island Grape Growers & Winemakers Association are the official wine sponsor of the event.There are plenty of Kangaroo Island wines to enjoy over the weekend.

The winery has been busy framing its latest collection of certificates awarded by wine show judges around the country. The 2011 Moscato Riesling won a bronze medal at Australian Small Winemakers Show. The 2011 Sauvignon Blanc was awarded bronze by the Boutique Winemakers Show and the 2008 Shiraz & 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded Bronze medals at the Cairns wine show earlier this year. These medals join the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals won over the last four years at wine shows around Australia.
In the inaugural Kangaroo Island Surf Music Festival was held recently at Vivonne Bay, Kangaroo Island. The event attracted over 3000 people to the 3 day music festival. Bay of Shoals Wines designed a new label to showcase 3 of its best party wines for the event. The remaining stocks of the new Surf wines are available for purchase, the 2011 Sparkling Chardonnay, 2011 Sparkling Rose & 2008 Island Blend are a great addition to any celebration.
We began showcasing our wines at the Royal Melbourne Show in 2009 and have returned each year. Over the last 3 years we have developed loyal customer bases who have returned to purchase our new vintage releases. Each year we offer a chance to win a Kangaroo Island holiday package with the purchase of a dozen bottles of wine. This year the lucky winner was the Hope family from Ascot Vale, Victoria.We look forward to seeing you again in Melbourne in 2012.
