WHITE WINES

2008 Chardonnay
The wine is pale straw in colour.Lifted oakand fruit characters on the nose that follow through to the palate.The wine exhibits sweet stone-fruit aromas and flavours with some green apple and citrus notes. The oak adds a rich toasty,cashew nut character and has a rich creamy mouthfeel.A good match with chicken

2010 Chardonnay
This wine underwent primary and secondary fermentation in French Oak. The colour is pale straw. Citrus and white peach aromas with a hint of oak maturation. The palate has citrus and cashew flavours with crisp acid finish and easy drinking style.

NV Chardonnay
This wine is a combination of the 2009 vintage aged in French Oak barrels added to unwooded Chardonnay from the 2010 vintage. It reflects nutty, melon and fig overtones. On the palate there are cashews,citrus and oak flavours followed by a crisp, minerally acid dry finish. For those wine lovers, who just like a little each way this wine has it.

2009 Chardonnay (un-wooded)
The first un-wooded Chardonnay the winery has produced. This wine reflects lemon, fig and subtle nutty nuances, followed by citrus and peach flavours finishing with dry crisp minerally acid on the palate

2007 Riesling
Like all great Rieslings this wine exhibits classic aromas of citrus/lemon with resonating floral overtones. On the palate the wine is light, lively and crisp on the finish. The flavours extend to citrus/grapefruit and floral/honeysuckle. Great with Kangaroo Island Whiting. Best served chilled,

2009 Riesling
The wine reflects delicate citrus aromas and floral notes followed by citrus flavours, crisp and clean. Minerally acid balanced by a touch of residual sweetness. Suite to lightly spiced seafood dishes.

2010 Riesling
On the nose this wine shows delicate floral and citrus aromas. On the palate the wine is dry in style with citrus flavours and a crisp acid finish. A good match with Kangaroo Island King George Whiting or lightly spiced seafood and chicken dishes

RED WINES

2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
Lifted ripe blueberry aromas are supported by cedary oak. This follows through onto a full-bodied, well structured palate with fine tannins. Ideal with grilled/roast beef and game.

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine is made entirely from Kangaroo Island fruit and shows deep vibrant colour, backed up by classic varietal characters in both the aroma and its flavoursome, well structured palate. Berry fruits and spicy oak dominate the aroma with an underlying tone of classic cabernet leafiness. The palate is generous in flavour with an abundance of red berry fruits drawn out by soft drying tannins that prolong the finish. The wine can be consumed now or alternately, reward those who are patient enough to cellar it for 5 to 10 years. Enjoy with delicious Kangaroo Island beef casserole or grilled Kangaroo Island Haloumi cheese. Awarded Bronze Medal at Australian Small Winemakers Show 2008

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon
The nose exhibits lifted fruitcake and jam along with savoury olive aromas, and is complimented by dark chocolate and cedar oak notes. These aromas follow through to the palate, resulting in a wine with ripe blackberry and mulberry fruit flavours. with velvety tannins completing this medium bodied wine. A good match with Italian inspired dishes

2007 Island Blend
To commemorate the first Bay of Shoals Wines vintage on Kangaroo Island this wine was produced from Shiraz(62%), Cabernet Sauvignon(23%) and Merlot(15%) from fruit sourced from local Kangaroo Island growers spanning from Cape Willoughby, Stokes Bay and Parndana areas. The wine has been aged in new American(85%)and French(15%)barrels for approximately 12 months. The colour is dark brick red with bright red hues.Lifted aromas of berries and spice,with some licorice notes. These aromas follow through onto the palate, resulting in a medium bodied wine displaying rich sour cherry,plum and mulberry flavours and velvety tannins. The oak induces some vanilla and spice. The finish is warming and has intense cracked black pepper. A good match with lically farmed; beef, lamb or even kangaroo.

2008 Rose
The wine has a vibrant crimson appearance with a pink hue. Aromas of lifted berry, cherry and creamy confectionary are a feature of this wine. The palate has strawberry and cream flavours that give a rich sweetness to the wine but balanced by some fresh lemony acid

2007 Shiraz
The nose exhibits sour cherry and raspberry fruit aromas. The oak adds sweet vanilla and confectionery notes. These aromas follow through to the palate, resulting in a wine with rich ripe fruit flavour, fresh acidity and chalky dark tannins. A good match with Kangaroo Island Lamb. Siver and Bronze medal winner. Winner of the 2010 Gramp Cup for best wine on Kangaroo Island

2008 Shiraz
This full bodied wine shows dark red ruby colour. The nose has ripe plum and blackberry notes backed by oak vanillins. On the palate the flavours remind one of baked fruit cake and ripe plums followed by generous tannins, still lingering and will reward with further cellaring. Bronze medal winner

N.V Sparkling Red
Boots and all red sparkling style wine with rich,ripe, plum,chocolate and fruitcake aromas, topped off with charismatic oak notes.Concentrated fruit with mouth filling flavours of plum and blackberry and well intergrated tannins. There is some residual sugar,and just enough acid to give a harmonious finish. A taste sensation not to be missed. 2008 Vintage Fortified
This wine has a deep red brick appearance.On the nose is a dried berry fruit and rich sweet spirit lift. The palate is flavoursome with rich,ripe berry flavours,chalky tannins and fresh acidity.A good compliment with Kangaroo Island cheeses,dried fruit and chocolate or the perfect finish to a meal. 375ml
